I began drawing and painting as a youth and continued developing my skills through formal education and self-study while traveling the globe. I find inspiration while actively taking part in all the world has to offer. I moved to Alaska seeking adventure and found that and more amazing sunsets, beautiful scenery, and up-close and personal interaction with incredible creatures year-round. My subjects include Spotted animals, horses, water, glaciers, mountains, flowers and sunsets. Mediums include Oil, acrylic, watercolor, artist markers, pencil, in addition to pottery, and jewelry.
My ultimate goal is to interpret nature and wildlife using vibrant & contrasting colors.
I like to depict areas of light and dark using exaggerated lines and color. I enjoy spending time detailing my subjects as there are so many colors that are not seen at a first glance.
Over the years I have spent a lot of time dabbling in different mediums.
