Our last week before the Thanksgiving holiday was a lot of fun. We took a break from learning the masters to create painted paper turnkeys and tell stories about how to cook a turkey. All good fun! So the kids got to makin' some painted paper turkeys. The painted paper was from the painted paper project that we did on the first day of class. Do you remember that chaos?! Yep! Lots of paint and texturizing and then we cut out our turkey feathers using cardstock for the feathers. Then we decorated the feathers using WHATEVER they wanted. It was like an art free for all! I had tissue paper out, paint, pastels, glue, puff paint, googley eye and crayons. It was a big mess, but what fun! The final step was to tell us how to cook and turkey or draw us a picture of your family or turkey. The results were adorable. I hope you all had a lovely day Thursday with your families and I am excited to see you next week for Paul Cezanne.
